The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses published the most recent results of the Continuous Employment Survey\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n <\/g>\r\n <\/g>\r\n <\/g><\/svg><\/span><\/a> for the June, July and August 2025 quarter.<\/p>\n

The national unemployment rate was 6.0%, with 5.4% for men and 6.9% for women, with no significant variations with respect to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n

However, the net labor participation rate fell to 54%, which represents a drop of more than 3 percentage points for both men and women.<\/p>\n

The employed population reached 2.16 million people, although there was a significant reduction of 55 thousand employed women.<\/p>\n

Finally, informal employment affected 810 thousand people, more than half of whom are self-employed.<\/p>\n

With these data, the country shows a slight improvement in unemployment, but a lower participation in the labor market.<\/p>\n
