Furthermore, the study points to savings of over $4 million in opportunity costs, achieved with a relatively low investment.<\/p>\n
During 2025, the system processed over 4.2 million payments totaling more than 179 billion colones, while in the early months of 2026, over one million transactions have already been surpassed.<\/p>\n
The IMF also highlights that SUPRES strengthens transparency, improves institutional coordination, and promotes financial inclusion for beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
From the National Treasury, transfers are made centrally and directly to bank accounts through the SINPE system, increasing efficiency and control of public resources.<\/p>\n
Treasury authorities assure that these results validate the positive impact of digitalization on fiscal management and on serving the most vulnerable populations.<\/p>\n
