Bank of Costa Rica forecasts 4% growth for 2024 and 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) through a press release informed that it estimates that the national economy will grow by 4% between 2024 and 2025, which represents a decrease compared to 2023 in which the economy grew by 5.1%, due to the deceleration of the country's main trading partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the main reasons for this slowdown are international military conflicts, which could lead to a significant increase in the price of raw materials, especially oil, slowing down or even reversing the progress made by central banks in controlling inflation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For its part, BCCR reiterates its commitment to price stability as a necessary condition for macroeconomic stability and, consistent with this, maintains the inflation target at 3%, as well as to mitigate violent fluctuations in the exchange rate experienced since last
