Costa Rica continues to consolidate itself as a highly competitive economy in international markets. According to the most recent report from the Promoter of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica and the Central Bank of Costa Rica, the country's total exports, which include goods and services, grew by 11% during 2025, reaching 35.243 billion dollars.
This growth represents an increase of more than 3.6 billion dollars compared to 2024, demonstrating the strength of Costa Rica's export sector.
In detail, goods exports rose 14%, totaling 22.731 billion dollars. For their part, services, excluding travel, grew 8%, reaching 12.512 billion.
Geographically, North America remains the main export destination, followed by Europe and Central America.
Furthermore, data from the World Trade Organization positions Costa Rica with growth superior to economies like Chile and Mexico, and even above Canada, which reported a contraction.
Foreign trade is thus reaffirmed as a strategic pillar for economic growth and job creation in the country.
