The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses presented the results of the Continuous Employment Survey corresponding to the third quarter of the year two thousand and twenty-five.
According to the report, the national unemployment rate stood at five point seven percent.
By gender, unemployment was five percent for men and six point nine percent for women.
Although the total figure does not show a significant variation compared to the previous year, a decrease of twenty-five thousand unemployed people in the country is reported.
The employed population was estimated at two point twenty-one million people, of which one million three hundred and sixty thousand are men and eight hundred and forty-three thousand are women.
The employment rate reached fifty-one point seven percent at the national level.
Finally, the report highlights that nearly eight hundred and forty-five thousand people work informally, which represents approximately one third of the employed population.
