On June 5, the deadline expired for commercial companies registered before December 4, 2024, to register an official email address with the National Registry . The measure is part of the modernization efforts driven by Law No. 10.597, which seeks to strengthen the use of electronic media in legal communications and notifications.

From now on, notifications sent to the registered electronic address may have legal effect, making it essential for companies to periodically check the registered mailbox and keep the corresponding information updated.

The obligation is especially relevant for companies, as unaddressed communication could lead to legal or administrative consequences arising from the passage of deadlines without a timely response.

The implementation of this mechanism reflects the growing digitalization of corporate processes and the importance of strengthening internal controls related to document management and legal compliance.
