The General Directorate of Customs issued the following resolution MH-DGA-RES-1211-2025 which introduces important changes in the country's customs management.
Based on this regulation, new guidelines are established for the application of deferred control in order to facilitate trade and optimize import and export processes.

Under this measure, companies will be able to present certain supporting documentation within a certain period of time after the entry of the goods, always under strict control and inspection conditions.
The Ministry of Finance seeks with this resolution a balance between trade facilitation and protection of tax revenues. In addition, it reinforces the country's commitment with international standards for customs simplification.

This update represents a breakthrough for the importing and exporting sector, reducing waiting times and promoting Costa Rica's competitiveness in global markets.
