The Ministry of Finance, through a press release, informed that as a result of a tax control plan carried out at the end of June, 279 taxpayers were sanctioned for not issuing electronic receipts and not accepting alternative means of payment.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, fines were issued in excess of 253 million colones, of which the Tax Administration has already initiated the sanctioning process.

In this process, the Tax Administration visited 996 businesses, located in the seven provinces of the country, to verify taxpayers' tax obligations and explain the importance of their compliance.
