Hacienda postpones tax payments due on August 18 due to interruptions in TRIBU-CR

Due to the interruptions by TRIBU-CR on August 17, resolution MH-DGT-RES-0026-2026 moved the submission and payment of statements that expired on that day to August 18, 2026. Those who completed the new deadline will not have penalties or interest.

The Directorate-General of Taxation, through resolution MH-DGT-RES-0026-2026, postponed for the first time the deadline for the submission of informative statements and for the submission and payment of self-assessed statements whose expiration date was scheduled for August 17 to August 18, 2026.

The measure was adopted due to the interruptions experienced by the TRIBU-CR system on August 17, which created obstacles to the correct compliance of taxpayers with their tax obligations.

The resolution includes various obligations, including those related to value-added tax, withholding taxes, remittances abroad, capital gains and losses, wages and other labor payments, as well as other obligations whose compliance is indicated in the TRIBU-CR Virtual Office (OVi).

Taxpayers who comply with the obligations included in the resolution within the new deadline will not be subject to sanctioning procedures for tax offenses or the collection of interest derived from the originally established deadline of August 17.
