Last week the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), published the data corresponding to the Continuous Employment Survey for the months of January, February and March of this year.

From the present survey, it is determined that the employment rate of persons with respect to the population aged 15 years and older remained at 51.5%, the same percentage that was recorded in the previous period comprised by December 2023 and January and February 2024.

On the other hand, it is important to highlight that in relation to the employed population, this indicator presented a statistically significant increase of 48 thousand women, with respect to the same quarter of the previous year.
